What is Cat Allergy?
Coping with an allergy to cats isn't easy. People with cat allergy have oversensitive immune systems. Their bodies mistake harmless things such as cat dander for dangerous invaders, and their bodies attack them as if it were a bacteria or a virus. The result of this is the symptoms you experience from your allergy such as sneezing, itchy eyes and runny nose.
Most Common symptoms of cat allergies are:
sneezing
itchy nose
Burning eyes
Raspy and/ or sore throat
Watery eyes
Persistent throat clearing
Runny nose
If you have a cat allergy and have tried different treatments with little or no relief, there may be another option for you.
Local doctors are conducting a research study of an investigational treatment to see if it helps reduce symptoms associated with cat allergies. If you are between ages of 18 and 65 and you have experienced cat allergy symptoms for at least two years you may qualify.
Qualified participants will receive study related exams, lab services and study medication at no cost. Insurance is not required to participate and compensation for time and travel may be available.
